Partai Keadilan Sejahtera (PKS) Changed Its Course By Nominating Anies Baswedan As The Candidate For Governor In The 2024 Jakarta Pilkada While Its Own Cadre, Sohibul Iman, Is Only Endorsed As The Deputy Governor Candidate.

Previously, PDIP DPP Chairperson Eriko Sotarduga mentioned that if they collaborate with PKB to support Anies Baswedan in the Jakarta Pilkada, their party would offer the East Java gubernatorial seat from PDIP. "For example, in Jakarta, if PKB becomes the gubernatorial candidate. Can PDIP become the gubernatorial candidate in East Java? It's possible, not a barter, but that’s what cooperation is, we cannot cooperate selfishly, imposing our ego, as we cannot advance alone," said Eriko at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, on Tuesday.

Acting Governor of East Java Adhy Karyono assured the public that the 2024 Regional Election, which will be held simultaneously on November 27, will be a source of entertainment. Hensat said that although old names have a chance to win again in the 2024 Jakarta Regional Election, history shows that it is not easy for previous leaders to regain power. Regarding the chance of collaborating with PDIP in West Java, Huda confessed that there has been no formal communication. However, PKB and PDIP have shared information. "There hasn't been communication with Kang Ono. There has been an exchange of information but not yet reached the discussion stage about whether to meet or not. So it hasn't reached that stage yet. PKB's interest for West Java is to announce a coalition first, not concentrate on the candidate, so for now, the candidate is not PKB West Java's focus," he stated. However, he hopes that the coalition formed will have compatibility so that in the next few weeks it can be announced. "We will form a coalition with the same chemistry, we hope it can be declared in the next few weeks," he continued.

Previously, PDIP DPP Chairperson Said Abdullah mentioned that he had visited Cak Imin's residence to discuss cooperation in the Jakarta Pilkada. Said mentioned that PKB is ready to nominate Anies Baswedan in the Jakarta gubernatorial election. "We visited the PKB General Chair's house, I remember it was after Friday prayers on May 30 before going to Mecca. We talked heart-to-heart, building communication among elites, sharing views," Said explained. During the meeting, Said admitted, PKB has a strong opportunity to nominate Anies in the Jakarta gubernatorial election. "As far as I know from PKB, if I’m not mistaken, they are ready to nominate Anies Rasyid Baswedan," he stated. Said mentioned that the meeting's results with Cak Imin had been reported to PDIP Secretary-General Hasto Kristiyanto and PDIP DPP Chairperson Puan Maharani. He said he would also report the view to Chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri. "Not necessarily with PDIP, we share views, not seeking agreement. My task is to report to Mbak Puan and Mr. Secretary-General," said Said. PKS Ready to Compete with Ridwan Kamil in Jakarta Pilkada Meanwhile, prospective vice gubernatorial candidate (Cawagub) from the Prosperous Justice Party (Partai Keadilan Sejahtera), Mr. Iman, stated that it is not an issue if the Golkar Party nominates Ridwan Kamil (Mr. Kamil) for the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada.
