We always complain about our education system. But Yes, we must say 2020 year is the revolution period in Indian Education. If we see our education syllabus it is totally focused on the theoretical concept. But now, after 34 years the new education policy announced and it will come into practice from 2021 onwards. This new education policy more concentration on experimental learning, so this is how it will help the younger generation to get jobs, and the unemployment rate of country may get decreased. the new education policy moving on the rail of modern education pattern. In this article, we will discuss what exactly the new education policy? what are the rules announced by the new education policy? And how this policy will be beneficial to the students?

NEP: More concentrate on vocational studies

NEP: More encouragement on the bagless concept

NEP: More encouraging for technical knowledge rather than theoretical knowledge.

NEP: declared three languages that are compulsory based on the state, region, and personal choice.

NEP: Announced regular health checkup of students based on their nutritional level and diet.

This is one of the important decisions taken by the Modi Government. New education policy 2020 announced new 20 rules. Lets discussed one by one

New Education Policy Rules


Dropped 10+2 Board Structure.

Announced New Board structure as 5+3+3+4

Upto class 5th there will be preschool education, from 6th to 8th class MidSchool Education can be given and from 8th to 11th standard High school education can be given.12 onwards graduation will start.

Any Undergraduate course will be for four years.

Vocational course will be added to the syllabus from the 6th standard.

Students can choose any subject from 8th to 11std.

There will be minor and major subjects in the graduation course, so it will help the student to improve their skills.

Only one authority will be governed higher education.

UGC AICTE will be merged.

Every university will have the same rules and guidelines.

Basic learning program will be created for the parents who will teach their kids up to the 3rd standard.

Same level of accreditation to any college based on its college ratings.

Multiple entries and exits from any graduation course.

Credit system will be used for graduation courses so students can utilize their credits and complete the course whenever he wants.

The pattern of the exam will be semester wise.

More focus on practical and experimental knowledge.

During graduation course if the student completes 1st year he will get the basic certificate if he completes a 2years course he will get the diploma certificate and suppose he completes the full course he will get a degree certificate. So no year of students will get wasted.

All graduation courses will be run by a single authority.

Now we can hope that this revolutionary change makes the future of any students brighter and brighter. As per the 2011 census, the literacy rate of India is 74%. And sensa138 the average costing of education over one student is Rs.11,125.



India ranks in 61st position for the expenditure on education in the world. According to the New education policy, public sector will increase by 6%of GDP very soon. This education policy first modified in 1986 after 1992. Almost 34 years this policy has changed. As well as expenditure on each student it has also increased to 3.1% in 2019-20.

So after a long time, we are seeing this change hope it will help to improve the Indian education system.
